DAVID MUMENI

 

David joined the company in 2012 and is a core member of the NTT's creative team. 

 

He grew up in North-West London and went on to train at Drama Centre London. He has since worked with director Declan Donnelan with Cheek by Jowl, The Royal Court, as well as with Josie Rourke with Donmar Warehouse.

 

David has also appeared in TV shows such as; Fresh Meat (Channel 4), PhoneShop (E4), Cuckoo (BBC3), Love Nina (BBC1), Hospital People (BBC) and Whitechapel (ITV). Film work includes; The Inbetweeners MovieNoble, and The Huntsman: Winter's War. He recently finished filming;  The Windsors (Channel 4), Avatards (E4) and comedy pilot Back (That Mitchell & Webb Company/Channel 4).

 

Theatre Includes: Pine (Hampstead Theatre), Lele & Co. (The Royal Court), Mush & Me (The Bush), The Machine (Donmar/Manchester Int. Festival/New York), ‘Tis Pity She’s A Whore (Cheek by Jowl/ Barbican/ New York & International Tour), 24Hour Plays (Old Vic), Product Placement (Nabokov) and La Strada (ENO).

 

As a writer, he was awarded a place on the ‘Write to Shine’ programme run by Shine Television & The NYT and went on to write ‘Our Days of Rage’ at The Old Vic Tunnels, which was Time Out (Critics Choice). David has also directed work for Not Too Tame, Lost Theatre and assisted on a production at the The Park Theatre.

 

He has worked as a Facilitator for over 12 years at Dream Arts, Artist Theatre School and the National Youth Theatre, where he was asked to be an Associate Artist. He has worked with a range of young people in a number of different environments from Theatre Schools to Young Offender Institutes.
